Season Magazine

I collaborate with writer Cadence Ast to produce fashion videos that bring her articles to life. Over two semesters, we’ve created over seven videos, amassing over 6.4K views. With Cadence curating the outfits, I take the lead on creative direction, filming, and editing, building a series of videos all aligning with our Looks We’re Loving series.

Some challenges I’ve encountered while filming include lighting issues and remembering all the elements needed for a start-to-finish production. This is especially difficult during the fall and winter when the sun sets earlier, and busy school schedules limit access to optimal lighting. To adapt, we get creative with available lighting, using editing techniques to enhance the seasonal mood and aesthetic of each lookbook. Over time, I’ve refined my process by keeping a checklist, taking notes, and solidifying a clear vision before shooting. These strategies not only streamline production but also ensure Cadence and our department directors stay aligned throughout the creative process.
